Very fast and efficient service. We needed a tree cutting as it was blocking the light to our flat. It now is cut back to the threshold (as explained this is the most he was allowed to do by law). However, it has made a massive difference to the amount of light we receive into the flat.

Halfacre came out to remove 6 large overgrown untidy conifers from our front garden that were obstructing the pavement and also removed the stumps. Their quote was by far the cheapest that we had received in the area. Tim did a fantastic job, taking care to tidy up the garden afterwards and along the pavement. He even did some extra work while he was here at a very reasonable price on top of our original quote. The finished result is extremely neat and looks so much better. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Halfacre again!

True Caring Expertise and Excellent Service We needed 3 very large trees (with TPOs) to be trimmed and a medium-sized established garden with a wide variety of smaller trees, enormous hedges and shrubs to be returned to some form of control. Whilst the 3 large trees were used to a visit from a tree-surgeon every 4 or 5 years, the quality of attention had varied and we hadn’t previously found anyone who could combine the required knowledge and ability with the care and sensitivity we wanted. And then we found Halfacre … From his first visit to scope out the job and provide a quote, it was obvious that Tim truly cared about our trees and shrubs. He discussed the needs of each element in relation to our vision in such detail that we learned a lot about our own garden. The same care went into the timely submission of a quote including all the paperwork in connection with Tree Preservation Orders. Dates for the work over several days were planned well ahead and all arrangements on-site were handled smoothly and efficiently. Every member of the team was pleasure to deal with and they undertook the work exactly as agreed, with “walk arounds” before and after to confirm. As we expected, their interventions were always made ‘organically’ - respecting the needs and elegance of each tree or shrub and anticipating future growth. We’re now falling in love with our garden all over again: newly enthused to develop the plans and opportunities it offers whilst enjoying the beauty it gives today.
